US Ambassador visits HEAL Africa

On February 22, 2024, HEAL Africa had the privilege of welcoming Lucy Tamlyn, Ambassador of the USA in DRC.

Ms. Tamlyn had a moving encounter with women displaced by war, beneficiaries of HEAL Africa’s projects in the Bulengo and some other IDP camps around Goma. During her visit, she stated “In these troubled times where gender-based violence is exacerbated by the resurgence of conflicts, HEAL Africa is undertaking admirable actions.”

Accompanied by a high-level team including officials from USAID and UNICEF, Ambassador Lucy Tamlyn praised HEAL Africa’s efforts in promoting a resilient community in the face of tragedies affecting women and children in eastern DR Congo, this part of DRC torn by war for more than 3 decades.
