One of the ways to have an impact is by volunteering to spend time in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to assist with the work done by HEAL Africa. We are so grateful for persons who exhibit both interest in and concern for the people of DR Congo.

HEAL Africa’s commitment to train and employ persons native to Africa influences its human resources policies. HEAL Africa is committed to the employment of those who are native to the culture for administration, program delivery and in support positions.

Those born outside of Africa (e.g. Australia, Canada, Europe, United States) may be selected to provide services to supplement areas of expertise within the HEAL Africa staff. HEAL Africa’s volunteer program looks to match particular skills and abilities of a volunteer to staff enrichment or development areas needed. The matching of the volunteer’s aptitudes and the local opportunities is a critical step to effective use of volunteers at HEAL Africa.
