Special Celebration at HEAL Africa Hospital: Quadruplets Born 5 Years Ago Return to Visit the Staff Who Cared for Them

Born on 09/05/2019 at HEAL Africa Hospital, these adorable quadruplets have returned to visit us this morning, following the celebration of their fifth birthday. This joyful event filled our healthcare team with wonder, especially our neonatology staff, who cared for the quadruplets for over a month.

The parents and children arrived early this morning to participate in the morning service and express their gratitude to the hospital and its staff for the exceptional care they received. The day was filled with joy, smiles, congratulations, and encouragement, and of course, many photos with the quadruplets.

Initially concerned about the health and well-being of their babies at birth, the parents of the four lovely 5-year-old girls now display absolute confidence in a bright future for their children.

“So far, it is by the grace of the Almighty that we are able to feed our 4 children. Being unemployed, we face considerable challenges in taking care of them, but heaven has not let us down,” said Mr. Mertens, their father. His current enthusiasm contrasts sharply with the fear he felt at the birth of Andema, Ansima, Ambika, and Anshuza.

The healthy growth of these four little girls stands as testimony of the commitment and determination of the parents to offer them a better life, despite the difficulties they faced at their birth.

Any support to the family is much appreciated, to improve the care of these charming little girls.
