Her return addresses the growing demand for specialized care at HEAL Africa Hospital, and enhances the hospital’s capacity to manage chronic diseases like diabetes. In this clinic, she helped patients by acting on different aspects of their condition, thus contributing to the improvement of their quality of life.
During her studies, Dr. Eugénie faced challenges such as the language barrier and the adaptation to a more advanced educational system technology. With the support of the welcoming and lovely Tanzanian community, she overcame all these obstacles, enriching her professional journey.
Her return is a significant step in tackling the shortage of specialist doctors in North Kivu in particular and in DRC in general, where healthcare coverage still falls short of WHO standards.
