Funds for the work of HEAL Africa comes from international grants and through direct giving, administered through the US organization, which is registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

During the year of 2006, the USA office of HEAL Africa raised $606,535. Of this, less than 5% was spent on administration (including travel for fundraising activities). Of that money, $443,000 was transferred for operations in Goma in 2006, with the remaining amount transferred in early 2007.
